Fiance and I are looking into doing an intimate destination wedding/honeymoon in Jamacia. Based on your experience what are the best all-inclusive adults only resorts? If you had your wedding at a resort did you use their packages? How was it?

@SimpleGifts: We are not doing our wedding there, but we are going to Jamaica for our honeymoon and we are staying at a Couple’s resort. I got a really great deal, and it is only costing me $3k for a ten day trip (two people!). There are also Sandals resorts. I did some extensive research on AI in Jamaica, so if you want to ask me any questions or anything I would be happy to give you my email address.

We stayed at the Caves Resort in Negril. It is very intimate (only 12 rooms/villas) and it’s all inclusive and the food is amazing. I can imagine if the whole resort was rented out for a wedding how fun that would be.
There are a few others that we looked at in teh same area that also look wonderful.
– Moondance on the Cliffs
– Rockhouse
– Tensing Pen
and Couples Swept Sway and Couples Negril are also nearby.

i did my wedding at a family resort (Sunset Beach Resort and Spa), but then we did a separate honeymoon at Couples Negril and absolutely LOVED that resort! I couldn’t find anything wrong with it. I can’t speak for the weddings though since we didn’t do ours there. all i can say is that on our way there, we met about 2 – 3 brides who were having their wedding that week, but while we were lounging on the beach all week, we didn’t see any weddings take place – which tells me there was some private area where they did weddings.

Couples negril, couples swept away and sandals negril, to me are the best adult only resorts in negril (and i have pretty much been to all of the negril resorts) If I had to pick one all inclusive resort though it would probadly be couples negril.. and the reason why i pick couples is because I think If you did pictures in thier lobby, stairscase and pool area, they would make for great pics..

Ok we were going to have our wedding at Tensing Pen. This isn’t an adult all-inclusive but it IS a BEAUTIFUL place in Jamaica that came highly recommended. Even if you eat there every day I think it would work out cheaper than an all inclusive since the rates are very reasonable. It is so small and intimate too, perfect for a wedding–There are only about 17 private cottages and bungalows–we were going to rent out the whole place for a few days for us and our guests–but we ended up going to maui instead.
The huge all inclusives aren’t really my style, too many people, and the food is usually terrible–I like eating out sometimes, and bbqing or making something simple in my room other times. At an all inclusive you pay so much for the unlimited food/alcohol that you want to get your money’s worth, discouraging exploring local cuisine.
Not to knock all inclusives–just sayin that it’s not the only way to go in the area

Have you been looking on Livingsocialdeals.com? There are constantly deals for all-inclusive trips to Jamaica for really reasonable prices that usually include your air fare!! I just saw one yesterday!

Fi and I are getting married at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites (Jan 26, 2013) where all our family and friends are staying but Fiance and I are staying at their sister property right next door Iberostar Grand Rose Hall (adults only). We went through a thousand resorts in Jamaica and this was by far the best. Among the many resons we picked this (scenery, food, reviews, wedding packages) the number one reason we picked this resort was because They only have 1 wedding a day!!!!!!!! Eeeek! This means total focus on you and your wedding, theres not 5 weddings a day like so many places you go to, this was a key selling point for me. SO the wedding co-ordinator is at your beck and call on your day and not catering to a bunch of other brides, I highly recommend looking on Trip Advisor at this property, there was all positive reviews (not one negative one and Im not kidding) which is something Ive never seen with any other resort. If you have any questions about anything there you can ask me Ive done all the research!
