I know you’re leaning towards Hawaii, but I went on vacation to the DR with my family (we stayed on the family side) and it was the most amazing place. The couples only side looked absolutely amazing, you have butler service 24/7, have resturants that are only for couples, or you CAN go to any place on the family side. Swim up rooms, absolutely beautiful. It was called Grand Palladium, Suites Turquesa!

I chose the island of St. Lucia for my honeymoon. It’s a beautiful island with twin mountain peaks. I wanted to stay somewhere that was scenic and had more to do than laying on a beach. This could be an alternative to Hawaii if you’re looking for one. I’ll be staying at the Sandals resort.

I know you said you are interested in Hawaii, and Sandals doesn’t have a resort there, but we stayed at Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas and it was AMAZING!!!  I can’t stop raving about it!!  You said “I just want total relaxation without worrying about much of anything.”  That is exactly what you’ll get!  Everything was taken care of!  And when I say everything, I mean it!  We didn’t even carry our bags to our room!  Hope that helps!  🙂
