We have had vacations in Mexico, all inclusive, I love it. We have been to the Karmina Palace, Grand Costa Real- here is the link- http://www.dilos.com/location/hotels/14309 I really like them because you don’t have to worry about anything, true vacation. We have also stayed at the Melia in Puerto Vallarta also all inclusive.

I would most def. say that all inclusive is the way to go.

We have not gone yet but we are going to an all-inclusive for our honeymoon in the Domican Republic at the Excellence Punta Cana. Very very affordable! My FI’s family has been there and they said it was amazing. They also offer a honeymoon package that includes a private dinner on the beach, horseback riding, couples massage and more.  They have swim up suites too so the pool is right at your deck!  Some all-inclusives do not include alcohol, certain activities or spa stuff so if that is important to you be sure to check!  The Excellence Resorts have one or two locations in Jamaica, you should check them out (http://www.excellenceresorts.com) they look gorgeous (and they have the honeymoon package too)

You can also check out http://www.cheapcaribbean.com to look at all other inclusive hotels and get reviews.  This is what we booked our honeymoon through, with airfare.

We are going to Couples Negril in late July! Our travel agent said she’s never had anyone come back from the resort with complaints.

To get a feel for Couples Negril, or the other Couples resorts, check out their message boards. I didn’t know this existed until someone from the hive recommended it.

Also very helpful is the Tripadvisor reviews. I’ve subscribed to it as an RSS feed so I get reviews frequently form people who traveled recently.

We honeymooned @ an AI in Costa Rica that was just perfect. It included everything we hoped for and more. They specialize in honeymooners, it has it’s own rainforest and you have the plae to yourselves. Really nice.

The couples resort you are looking at in Jamaica always seems to get good reviews. Enjoy!

I went to Playacar Palace in Playa del Carmen, which is in the Rivera Maya of Mexico. I loved it the place had 5 restaurants and all the food was amazing. Plus there are about 5 other Palace resorts nearby so you can go to any of those and use all their facilities and eat fee.  We went to Cozumel palace for a day and ate lunch and snorkeled.

We’re going to the Excellence resort and spa in Punta Cana…it’s also adults only which is a plus and they have a honeymoon package at no extra cost. Price is reasonable as well since we are going through vacation outlet to book a hotel and flight package.

We went to one in Mexico a few years ago. We loved it! We also love to sit on the beach and drink all day and eat a lot, so it was perfect!

We are going to the Sandals in Antigua for our Honeymoon and cannot wait!

We did an AI once and really enjoyed it, but probably wouldn’t do it again. Pluses are that EVERYthing is taken care of…food, drink, water sports. We were ON the beach so that was super convenient. Really it was great for lounging and relaxing, but Fiance and I tend to like to venture on our own, explore new towns, and we felt pretty stranded at the resort. So it just depends on what you are looking for.

Info and pics from our stay in our Dominican Republic post on our blog: http://patrinadoestheglobe.blogspot.com/

Oh yeah, we stayed at the Riu Resort in Punta Cana, DR. Super affordable!
