My DIY thumbprint tree!
Our rings and some evidence of all the origami I made! My sisters helped out a lot with the stars, but I made 100 of those hearts.
Our cake, which had chocolate, vanilla, and lemon flavoured tiers.
We did the shoe game and it was a big hit. We loved it, the crowd loved it.
We did just 4 speeches – my mother, my friend and Bridesmaid or Best Man, his maternal grandfather, and his scout leader. In retrospect I wish we had time limited them, for the sake of our guests. I loved them all, though.
DH’s sister and Maid/Matron of Honor changed out of her tux to a sweet black cocktail dress for the reception and she looked rockin’ in both 😀
First dance, clinging on for dear life! Even with the bustle that long skirt really gets under your feet.
Shared our father/daughter dance with Darling Husband and his mom. Keeping it in the Elvis camp, we danced to The Wonder Of You.
Ten minute polka marathon with my grandpa afterward!
I want to say the night was over too quickly, but by the time we were cleaned up and out of there it was going on 1 or 2 in the morning. Considering how little sleep we got the night before, Darling Husband and I were totally bagged. As I mentioned before on the boards, I bawled on the way back to the hotel because I was just overwhelmed by how wonderful everyone was and how perfect the day was.
Thanks to the whole hive for all our your support, feedback, and inspiration during the planning process! I hope I am able to help you get through to the other side of your own weddings the way you have for me with mine 🙂
Hope you liked the photos even half as much as I loved sharing them with you!
