hehehehe, I’m one of those lucky girls who’s Fiance doesn’t get into that type of gaming.  And typically, when we game, it’s with the kids around so we’re on our best (sorta) behavior).

However, at our AD&D game nights, after the kids are in bed?  Yeah, gloves come off from ALL sides of the table! (or I should say “living room”)!

i just wanted my husband to buy something that he thought he could afford – i didnt want him paying this thing off forever –  and he did a wonderful job. i know he spent a good chunck of cash on it maybe a months salary – but 2-3 months? i’d be blinding people.

and i dont understand why guys thing video games stop after marriage – i’d put money down that when i walk in the house after work My husband is playing Halo (he played COD for a good year until Halo 3 came out) marriage hasnt stopped him. Granted he has been in California all week for business, he deserves a little alone time with his xbox. haha

I don’t think there is an amount an engagement ring “should” cost. It depends on what the couple wants. There is no right or wrong price, no such thing as too little or too much.

Personally, I think anything over $400 feels expensive enough that it’s “special” and anything over $3000 is excessive. That’s just me though.

Since when does getting married mean no Xbox or freedom? That’s not the kind of relationship i’m in. Spend whatever you can afford. My ring cost waaaay less than $5000, and we make quite good money. It isn’t about the cost – it’s about the thought.

@kamielynn: This ring is perfect. We we’re supposed to have a shot gun wedding and this was going to be my ring. I’m getting another ring from kays. and I’m thinking about having this one melted down to make my wedding band

This reminds me of the Office ep when Michael proposes to Holly. “Yeah, 2 year’s salary!” Bahahaha there are NO more rules anymore. Just buy what makes you happy!
