In my continuous online searching of fabulous wedding shoes ideas I came across what may be a new trend.
Now I know a lot of Grooms and their Groomsmen are opting to chuck away their dress shoes for…..well, Chucks! (I kill myself sometimes with my lame jokes!)
But what about Brides how have gone the All Star route?
And when the whole bridal party opts to go the sneaker route.
Not only does it make for awesome pictures, but it also guarantees that you will be dancing the night away!
And this picture of the flower girl with her own little pair was too good to pass up!
Are any brides to be out there choosing to go the Chucks route? Is there any brides already married who decided to go the sneaker route rather than 4 inch heels?

I’m ot wearing sneaker – although I kind of wish I was, but I looooove the idea of all the ladies in Chuck’s. It’s too fun, and, oh my gosh, that flower girl? Adorable!

Eh…I think it depends on what kind of dress you’re wearing. I wouldn’t do it personally, and I think there would be very few situations where it would really work. I dunno, the idea just doesn’t sit that well with me, but maybe because I think it would look ridiculous with my dress.

I personally wouldn’t wear them either, I’m a girl who loves her heels, but it is refreshing to see what ideas are out there and to let girls know there is another option to the list!
@msgiraffe: I love the ruffle socks too!

No, but they’re just plain turquoise blue ones. I thought about getting sparkly ones, but they were $80 and I couldn’t bring myself to pay $40 extra because someone threw glitter on them!

On last night’s Four Weddings they had the entire bridal party, as well as the bride and groom in chucks. I think it could be cute in certain settings but this wedding was in a very formal church and I just didn’t think it went very well.

I’ve thought about it, but hesitate only because when I’ve tried on Chucks in shoe stores I didn’t think they were very comfortable. (Which is of course weird because they’re supposed to be awesomely comfortable.) But I hate heels so much and don’t particularly like that many flats, either. Bah.
I LOVE the picture up there with the purple ones.

I’m wearing neon blue ones. I only own two pairs of heels (tons of flats though), so heels are not my style. I love my neon blue chucks. I had been looking for them for years and when I finally found them, I snatched them up.

I am thinking about wearing some purple ones for our reception – I think they’re adorable!

i don’t think it’s a very recent trend, i’ve seen it pretty regularly in the past decade. i don’t think there’s anything wrong with it in the right setting. maybe when i was in my teens i would have wanted to – i wore chucks a lot then but transitioned into “big girl” flats and heels when i wrapped up college; though my chucks are always handy. hell, i hiked in the Himalayas in a pair (do not recommend it though haha)! but for the wedding i think personally i’ll end up with uncomfortable but dramatic heels of some sort with a backup of flats or ballet shoes to keep looking “dainty”.

I am 😀 I got some made for my wedding! I am 5’2 and my fiance is 6’4 lol he wanted to pick me up when we kiss at the wedding but I didn’t think it was such a great idea to do with a strapless dress! I mean what if he stepped on my dress before picking me up! then both off our families would see everything! lol so i came up with the idea that when our preacher says “you may now kiss the bride” my little sister (my maid of honor) can get a stool that were getting painted with our wedding colors and put it in front of me and me step up on it so I can kiss him 😀 i’ll wear heels for pictures and part of the reception also.
