After watching several episodes of “Bridezilla”, it’s refreshing to read about a bride who laugh about things going wrong.  🙂   Your day sounds perfect.

At least the whole wedding party didn’t fall into a lake from a pier. Gives a whole new meeaning to “taking the plunge” into marriage.

These are awesome. A couple from one of my MOHs, who’s a DOC:

-The bachelor party was the night before the wedding, and when the groom showed up for his first look (photos were early), he was STILL DRUNK. My friend and her DOC partner stuffed about 10 mints in his mouth, but he still blew his bride away with his breath. Luckily he was sober enough to legally get married by the time the ceremony rolled around.

-Another wedding- the bride had purchased special, fancy ties for the guys (close to $100 each), which they gave out at the Rehearsal Dinner. The guys went drinking afterwards, and only ONE of six groomsmen managed to still have his tie by the end of the night. So-wedding day my friend runs to Union Station with the remaining tie to try to find matches (luckily she does.)

I completely shocked myself on the wedding day by not getting upset about the things that went wrong!

While my BMs and I were getting ready my dad went to drop some things off at the venue. When he came back he told me that we were short a centerpiece…which was totally my fault, the number of tables had changed by one and I totally spaced and forgot to tell the florist! I think I just sat there for a second in silence while everyone looked at me like, ‘Oh God, please don’t let her freak out.’ And then I finally just shrugged and was just like well there’s nothing I can do about it now, I’m sure we’ll figure something out. And we did – took the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets after the ceremony and stuck them in a vase (and put them on the parents’ table).

The band was running our music during the ceremony, I had specially cut our recessional song to start at the perfect moment…and they started it way late, we were almost completely down the aisle before there was music. My regret about this is that in the pics of us coming back down the aisle Darling Husband is walking straight ahead with a big grin, and I’m a bit behind trying to slow him down and staring in the direction of the music guy, haha.

I think it’s safe to say not too many of us will thankfully ever deal with this at our weddings. Frown

@summerbvt:  This post made me laugh!!! 🙂 Sooo funny!

My cousins wedding, the limo didn’t show up. So everyone was late! Rough.

@pfinarffle:  THat is horrible… so sad! I’m 100% sure something will go amiss at my wedding… I’m preparing myself to laugh already. I love the quirky things!

At my MOH’s wedding last month nothing went too crazy…

She got too hot in her veil so she decided she didn’t want to wear it…

The rehearsal was about a month before so the flower girls forgot everything and totally missed the turn down the center aisle.

Then a groomsman randomly made a speech after the traditional best man & Maid/Matron of Honor… and it was blatantly drunk and rambling aka one of those “I love you man!” types lol

THEN I think the worst was a stupid drunk girl walking around asking any and every guest if they had WEED or knew where she could get some! She was about 19-20 years old and some random cousin of the groom so the bride was furious ESP WHEN THE GIRL ASKED HER!

I don’t THINK I have any of those types coming to our wedding… but we’ll see!
