Hello lovely Bees,
So I know a few of you are very interested in ordering cushion cut or Krupps cut Amora gems, so here is some fantastic news for you from the BTD message board:
“Amora Gem cushion cuts and Krupps cut coming by year end: We’ve had some rough over the past few months that is ideal for both Krupps and Cushion cuts…and thus, starting this week, we’ve begun processing some of the first Amora Gem cushions and Krupps cuts. These will likely be ready for sale by the end of November and we’ll be contacting those on the waitlist in non-patent countries for the respective cuts/sizes that finish.”
You can read the full November update in full here:

NO WAY! I need a cushion so badly, and at this rate, the patent block will be lifted BEFORE I get engaged, SMH.

Posted by Less at the same link as above. I’m thrilled since I am w/in 30 mins of one of these. I’m going to go get a PO Box just for this.
A: Can you ship an Amora Gem to an Indian reservation within the US? We received this question from a customer and after some patent research, the answer is Yes. US patent laws are not applicable within Indian reservations even though they are located within the US borders. Indian nations are sovereign entitites, and their respective land is not US property…even though it lies within the greater US border. Apparently this was tested in Federal court in 2011, and the company attempting to enforce their patent on the Indian reservation took a beating by the courts (since they kept appealing) and had their case tossed out for – lack of jurisdiction, and as one commentary noted, the patent holding firms lawyers should have studied more high school history. This case highlighted the basic history lesson that Indian reservations are truly separate nations and independent soverign entities, which is why they all have respective treaties between their nation and the US that created the reservations. For the same reason, this is why casinos are freely operated there even though gambling as a rule is illegal in the US (with a few notable exceptions like Las Vegas).

@NovaRising: I don’t think BTD will ship to PO box. Send them an email to check? I think your package has to be signed for

@becleeham: United States Postal Services also offer registered business addresses too. You basically have a PO Box but for an extra price they give you their physical adress (with your box # as the suite #) and they sign for your packages.
My hubby and I do that for our business since some of our suppliers will only deal with companies that have a physical location

@becleeham: funny you should ask that….so it was custom made and I HATED the final product. It didn’t look like the picture I showed you! It slightly resembled it but there were several key pieces that didn’t work for me…so I’m back to my solitaire and that’s where my AG is staying.

@becleeham: Thank you for letting me know how to break the news to my Darling Husband. Haha…he knew it was coming but he just bought me a car (in cash). I told him I wouldn’t ask for anything else expensive for this year. Oh well, some promises are meant to be broken.
Edit: This is not a humblebrag…I might me be in a little touble.
