I really wish they would make the amora gem in a pear shape. Less says that pears dont sell well but i wish they would at least do a limited time preorder. That way they only make enough stones for the people who preorder and they can meet that demand without worrying about not selling stones :(. I NEED A PEAR AMORA!!!!!!!!! Lol

Tstarcollection:  Your ring is beautiful!! Did you chose to have diamonds set in your setting or is it still moissanite?

This might be helpful for some comparing diamond vs Amora Gem. Before I sold my AG, I took a few pix. These are all taken on a very sunny day in the shade. I do see a little more color in the diamond than the AG, but overall they are pretty much identical.

AG=loose [3.01 carat, F, IF]

Diamond=mounted [3.1 carat, H, SI1]

lilsweetie:  may I ask, what were the differences? I see pics of the Amora Gem and the center looks so dark! I love the idea of the gem and have been considering switching out my diamond for an Amora, but I’m on the fence.

lilsweetie:  I totally would have guessed the AG was the stone in the setting because of the smaller crown, I can also see what looks like inclusions in the loose stone.

Tstarcollection:  I’m sorry if you’ve answered this already, but what is the carat equivalent of your AG? And your finger size, if you don’t mind me asking? It looks absolutely beautiful on you!

skplue: I never noticed the center being dark. They had almost the same light performance. I think the color difference was pretty apparent though, the AG  F color was visibly whiter than the H diamond. Why do you want to change your diamond for an Amora? What size are you looking at getting?

MrsSparkleBee13:  In person there are no inclusions at all in the AG, even when I looked under a loupe, it was almost too flawless if that is possible. These photos were taken in my car. It was kinda in the shadowy spot under the steering wheel so they wouldn’t be in direct sun so the lighting is admittedly odd.

mghnglnn:  Thanks! The AG carat equivalent was 3.01 and my finger is a size 5. Disclaimer – these pix make the stone look larger than it is because of the angle I think and the second picture is taken in the palm of my hand with my hand cupped.

The diamond is not GIA graded. It was given to me and I had it appraised for insurance, but not formally graded by GIA.

lilsweetie: The AG is so much cheaper than my diamond was and what my diamond could resell for. My Fiance and I are saving up for an apartment and we live in a high cost area (can’t sacrifice here because we live in Hawaii and everywhere on this island is expensive). So I figured hey maybe if we switch out my diamond for an AG I can still have that pretty sparkly look I love and we can be on a better path to saving. For record, I drive a luxury car and was also okay with selling that and just walking to work or getting a cheap car. Plus we’ve stopped eating out and splurging elsewhere. So it wouldn’t be just that trading the diamond for an AG. My diamond is a 1.3ish ct and I was thinking for the AG, I would want no larger than a 1.5 ct equivalent.

katpack:  thank  you! yes. The side stones are G diamonds. Since my amora gem was an F color,  moissanite side stones would be too warm with the F color so we went with diamonds instead. Also they don’t make the amora gem that small.

My ring is a 1.5 carat amora gem ultra, F color, IF flawless on a 3.5 ring finger, setting is in 14kt white gold  Eng143 style with G color diamonds  from Moissanite and co. Hope this helps!

I’ve gotta thank all you ladies for sharing your beautiful rings and inspiring me to lead my Fiance towards the amora gem. It’s a gorgeous stone and I’m so happy with it! I just hope to do the same by sharing mine 🙂
