The alterations department at DB did both, an under bustle and an over bustle . I don’t have pictures, and I wish I could elaborate but I really have no idea. LOL

She did say she was doing both do make sure the detailing on the back of the dress is shown as much as possible.

I’m pretty sure I have responded to this question before, but it’s really never too many times! Smile  I had a three-point over and under bustle. The over-bustle was all the tulle, and then the under-bustle was I think just the satin bottom layer. Here’s how it looked at the store:

Unfortunately, at the wedding we were all drunk trying to bustle it (haha) so it was the blind leading the blind. We eventually got all the loops on the buttons, but we never quite got it to sit right, LOL damn alcohol! I think the poof is actually sort of cute, though Smile

Keeping an eye on this thread because I’m seriously considering buying an entirely different reception dress just so I won’t have to bustle. I worry about it looking too frumpy :/

@iarebridezilla:  Your bustle is lovely! Unfortunately my dress’s skirt doesn’t start that high…ugh.

I have a french bustle (the 3 under loops) because of the weight of my tulle. I dont have pics. Get married in a week!

I had two, I had a french and traditional. French was underneath and the tulle was done traditional with 11 buttons. I know someone had a picture somewhere of them doing my bustle but I can’t find it.

I didn’t want a bustle, so I ended up having my seamstress cut the whole thing to floor length. I was so happy with it! My wedding was outside and I didn’t want to be dragging the train through the grass anyway, plus if it had ripped I wouldn’t have been able to dance.
