All White Linens but the Bride is Wearing Ivory…..
I am the matron of honor in a wedding. I am also helping to do the decoration. I have all white linens (tablecloths and chair covers) already. If I do ivory I would have to buy all new stuff which is a little more expensive.
Honestly would it look bad to have the white linens and the bride is wearing ivory?

I don’t think so, who said decorations should match the bride’s attire? I’m doing Ivory in my decorations but still don’t know which color I’m wearing. It might look odd if you’re trying to match blue and red but white and ivory are similar enough, and again why should the bride and decorations match?

@PJ2009: I really don’t think anyone would notice, or care 🙂 It is awesome that you are putting thought into every decision, but I think this is one you don’t have to worry about!

@PJ2009: I’m positive I’ll be doing exactly that. I want to keep the winter feel to the decor with the white and I also didn’t feel like blending into the table cloths and chair covers…

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. My linens are white and my dress is ivory with champagne accents. I think it looks better in photos when the bride and decor don’t match. Then you don’t have to worry about her dissappearing into the table in a photo.

@PJ2009: It should be okay!

I had the same fear when it came to my ivory dress and white linens simply because I didn’t want my dress looking dingy. In the end we went with a different color linen but still had white chairs and honestly, you can’t tell. Ivory on white isn’t as much of a difference as I thought it would be.

The bride is not part of the decor. this shouldn’t even be a concern.
