Don’t feel bad, I think we all do it.  It is true though, we really just have to wait.. but waiting is so much harder for women LOL.. it IS worth the wait though!

This is where I am at and I can’t stop thinking about it!! The worst part is we starting planning a little bit…and then I just went bananas talking about it!! No one knows except my BMs-to-be and my parents, and if I don’t give him a chance to ask me no one will ever know 😉

@Seashells7:  i think waiting is hard, especially when you know the ring is there…i’d much rather be in the dark than know the ring is in the house….it’s in the house …lol.

@Alaric2012:  The grass is greener. I would have comfort in knowing that the ring is in the house…not in my imagination…

The waiting IS the hardest part. I’d much rather be plotting & sneaking around & trying to come up with a fun plan. I hate waiting (for everything, not just the ring)…

Yeah, i think determining which is harder (waiting vs. planning) depends on the person.  I would have a lot of fun planning a proposal if it were on me (who knows, maybe that will happen in the end).  But if planning surprises isn’t his thing I can see how stressful it could be.  I definitely think he underestimates how hard it is to know you have no control over it!  Everything else between the two of you is discussed and agreed upon together… and then for there to be something so big that you have so little input on?  Geez!

I think that proposing and waiting are “hard” in their own ways. Waiting is hard because of the anticipation and anxiety of either knowing something is coming and you’re just not sure when, or because you’re waiting for someone to be ready before they are. Proposing is hard because there is a certain cultural expectation (like being really creative or overly romantic about their proposal) that can dicate behavior and what a guy “should” do when asking their girlfriends.
