Yea a lady at work wears this…chocolate smelling fragrance, sounds yummy but it’s not. It’s a sickly sweet smell. And whenever she’s been in the lift, next person going in was for sure to know. I’m not against fragrances at all and do wear it for going out etc, but if it’s so strong that people don’t have to get close to you and can still smell it, it’s annoying. missviolet92 :

I feel you, I have allergies to Perfumes and some scents especially floral and I also get SEVERE heyfever from pollen & flowers.
My old work used to have fresh flowers at the reception desk the boss used to bring in from her own garden… and I stated on MULTIPLE occations I could not work at that desk due to my allergies, they made me anyway and when upper maangement came in one day to see me puffed up, covered in hives and not breathing properly they asked me what was ‘wrong’ I told them i’m expected to work here 60 hours a week while breathing in something that probably is killing me. They were gone that day and didn’t come back, that boss was SO rude to me after that always EXCLAIMING how boring and bland the desk was without the fresh flowers. I would just shake my head, how dare my health be more important hey?
I can’t even stand deoderant being sprayed it reminds me of all the symptoms I’ll have to deal with breathing it in or getting it on my skin.
I’ve changed jobs now but I feel like people DON’T care, if it doesn’t directly involve them or it’s not anaphylactic, it’s insane.
I hope that this stops for you, I’m lucky enough to be able to lock myself in my office to avoid any deo/perfume smells hahaha.

Just following on from this post. HR sent an email to all staff saying nobody is to spray perfume in the office & must do this in the bathroom as someone is allergic. Anyway a girl who sits down from me wears so much perfume at work. It honestly lingers. I got her friend to mention it was making me sick & yet she still continues to wear it. She must be showering in the stuff as it’s definitely not discreet. What do I do about it? I don’t to complain to HR as the girl lives down my street but her friend has told her & she’s dismissed it. Perfume makes me sick!

missviolet92 : I don’t think you went far enough in asking only that people not spray in the office. If you are allergic, people should not be wearing it at all.
I’d go back to HR and without singling this person out let them know that you have tried but realize it’s the presence of perfume, not just the act of spraying it that sets you off. Tell them that there are some people whose perfume is still quite literally making you sick, and ask for a work day ban in your group.

Anyone who puts peanuts in lasagna is a PSYCHOPATH.
On a more serious note you need to contact HR/your boss. Start taking sick time when she pulls that shit and you don’t feel well. Start emailing yourself each time there is an incident so that you have record of what’s happening. Those girls may seem “friendly” but they sound like bitches to me.

Who the fuck puts peanuts, PEANUTS!, in a lasagna???!!!!
I would go back to hr at this point. You deserve to be able to work without getting sick

Also. I just googled peanuts in lasagna because really, who the fuck puts peanuts in lasagna.
Every single result for the 10 pages I scrolled through was a sweet dessert lasagna with chocolate and peanut butter.
Not one was a normal savoury lasagna with peanuts because that’s just not normal. At all!
I’m a nut allergy sufferer and a lasagna would be one of my safe foods!
