JazzyGemini:  Can we see a pic of your ring? Maybe we can help you find something to pair it with. I would also suggest shopping around and asking other vendors for a quote on a custom band for your current ring as someone else may be able to offer a better price.

Honestly I’d be upset too. This one band doesn’t work so now you want a whole new set? What?

Like a PP said, maybe post a pic of your ring and bees may have suggestions on what will work with it.

If his grandmother’s ring matched your e ring then why can’t you find something similar to that and then your band will match your e ring.

I’m sure there is something out there that would work to match your ring, as a PP said maybe you could post it and we could help you out.

Platings can be removed….  What are you allergic to? Do you know if it is nickle?  If it is just the plating, you can remove it and all should be fine.  But if it is nickle and ther eis nickle in the gold, there is really nothing you can do.  I would stop wearing it, as it will be VERY uncomfortable and never get better.  He cannot expect you to wear somehting you are allergic to.

I would not suggest Asha unless you are okay with replacing the stone every few years.  It is CZ and it will scratch and abrade over time.

If you are having metal allergies, I would suggest platinum (or palladium, if you have a jeweler that will work with it).

What metal is the current ring? If you’re allergic to the nickel (most likely) you would need to get platinum or palladium in order to avoid the nickel if you want the silver look.

I would not recommend Asha. I have owned some and was not impressed with how it attracted grease/ dirt and it has to be scrupulously cleaned in order to look nice- just like regular CZ. I have never had any issues with moissanite or diamonds, so was very sad at how average Asha was for the $.

For a lovely inexpensive stone you could try http://www.diamondcz.co.uk/ or winkCZ. For a life long stone, spend a couple of extra $$ over the Asha and get a moissanite.

I agree with that.  ^^^  I would get wink cz and save some money.  But I would get moissy over cz anyday.
