Hi Bees. I ordered my Allure C170 gown in ivory and had my final fitting today. The boutique I ordered my gown from said the only bustle they would do for the dress is a 3 point overbustle. At my first fitting, the tailor showed me what it would look like and I was hesitant because it looked like she had simply gathered the train and pinned it to the back of my dress. The fabric was lumpy and didn’t flow anymore. She reassured me and said once it’s sewed together, it would look gorgeous and beautiful.
So today, when I went in for the last fitting and saw the bustle completed, it looked exactly like how she had showed me. From the side, you could see the complete separation between the train and the dress and it was very clear that it had been bustled. When I tried to explain it to her, she argued that she knew what she was doing and that if I wanted to do a different bustle, I would have to take it somewhere else (and pay for a whole nother bustle!)
I’m not quite sure what to do so I was hoping you could help me. If you got the Allure C170 gown (or another type of ballgown), what type of bustle did you do? I’m in desperate need of help!
