- Wedding: November 2010
Ok, so i’ve been planning my Nov. 27 wedding since mid June and its gone so smoothly so far….almost too smoothly. Also, i’ve been raving about David’s Bridal and how great they have been too me. Getting a wedding dress has not been easy for me because i’m a super plus size girl, but my consultant found me the perfect one and the alterations people have been fabulous (tho i didn’t need any size alterations, just bustle and snaps). Anyways, i had my final fitting on Wednesday and they are shipping the dress to my aunt’s house for me….i live in Florida but i’m getting married in Maryland. I ask no less then 5 times, 5 different people that they require a signature for delivery…i don’t want my dress sitting on her doorstep if she’s not home for someone to steal or to get rained on, because its been raining ALOT up there. Anyways, i was told 5 times “Oh yes, we require a signature for delivery, and Fed Ex requires it too”…so i left there feeling good about things. Next day at 3:30 i call to get the tracking number…..and the girl in receiving gives it to me and i say “signature required correct?”…she says “no, no one told me that and Fed Ex home doesn’t require it”. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?! Why would you ship a $800 wedding dress and let Fed Ex leave it on someone’s doorstep. I really wanted to ask her she was a friggin idiot, because she obviously is…..God i was so pissed i couldn’t see straight….i said to her “you realized that my dress is the most important thing at my wedding right?” So i told her she needed to call and fix it because if my dress gets stolen or ruined its on them because when i used them to ship it, they told me they were responsible for it getting there safely (i originally wanted to ship it myself thru my work). Anyways, i call Fed Ex last night and they were VERY helpful and said he would note for it not to be left outside if no one was home, then my aunt can pick it up at Fed Ex. So its set to be delivered tomorrow and of course i’m in a little bit of a panic because it took 12 weeks to get my dress in and i only have 6 weeks till my wedding. Please wish me luck bees!!!
