I’m getting a custom engagement ring made by a local jeweler, and I saw the wax cast today, and I’m so excited I couldn’t wait to share!!!
The CAD is below. To be honest, I wasn’t 100% on it but said OK because I know CADs always seem to look a little clunky, and this was a rough drawing working just from photos of my stones. Now that I’ve seen the actual wax, I think it will look amazing!
Hot tip: if your knuckles are at all large-ish, beware trying to put on a wax! I got too excited and promptly snapped it. *facepalm* So no pics of the wax at this time.
The bigger diamond is from my Future Mother-In-Law, and I’ve been wearing that in its original white gold solitaire setting as my e-ring until we’ve been able to get this ring made. The smallest diamond was part of a necklace my mom gave me for my sixteenth birthday, and the third diamond is from her engagement ring when she was married to my dad. The gold will be recycled from her wedding set also!
The sapphire is just for fun because I wanted it. 🙂 I also wanted part of the ring that was “something new” just for my fiance and I, if that makes sense. It’s a green unheated Montana sapphire. I’ll post a picture of it loose below also. Bought from Earth’s Treasury, and I highly recommend him!
It should be 2 – 3 weeks until I have my ring! Will be dreaming about it until then!!!

Very modern design! I love the color of that sapphire!

Gorgeous sapphire! I love the color, and your ring design is beautiful. I’m excited for you and can’t wait to see hand shots!
I bought a pink Montana sapphire from Earth’s Treasury a month or so ago. It’s for my daughter’s “sweet 16” gift. I thought the business was great to deal with, too. And they have a good selection of stones.

That sapphire is beautiful and I love that your ring’s stones will all have special significance and meaning for you. Can’t wait to see it on your hand!

Thank you so much!
What a great gift! I know sapphires are pretty common on here, but I’ve never heard anyone mentioning ET so wanted to give a shout out. I was trying to decide between two similar trillions, and he immediately sent me a video of the two of them on his hand outside in daylight. Seems like a real passion project, plus it’s nice to shop small and the location is fairly local to me.

It’s so beautiful!! I love all the meaning behind it! Can’t wait to see it on!

So unique! Please post when it is finished. The color of that sapphire is beautiful.

Thank you! It all started when my Future Mother-In-Law offered her ring she had to my now fiance. Then I kind of realized, hey, I had these other stones around collecting dust!
Thank you! Stay tuned! 🙂

Looking forward to seeing it. I adore green sapphires. They are one of the all time faves. Love the modern design too. So eye catching!

Got my ring last night, and I am OBSESSED! 😍 I love it even more than I thought I would. It is also way flatter than I anticipated. I am a big fan of it being so flat though, so I don’t knock it so much.
Here are some pictures (sorry if they’re sideways. grr!).
Now help me decide: do you prefer it with the larger diamond to the right or to the left?
And a picture with the wax, if anyone is interested.

I like it with the larger diamond on the left. I think it looks more balanced that way, but I’m not sure why.
It’s a gorgeous color!

Wow what a gorgeous, unique ring. I LOVE the color of the sapphire. And I agree with pp. large diamond to the left.

That ring is freaking amazing! Soooo beautiful, the diamonds are luscious but to me the sapphire is the star of the show! OMG 🤤 drool. I am in the minority because I like it best with the large diamond to the right, but honestly it is gorgeous either way. Congratulations
