I had that same experience last night! DH is on call this week for his job (he works in a transplant lab) and he got called in at 9:00 last night. It was the first time since we were married that he got called in on a night I couldn’t just go in with him since being married (I had to to work in the morning). The apartment was so empty and big! I was also all of a sudden all freaked out about locking every latch on all the doors and windows. Falling asleep was also super difficult to do without him there. But it makes tonight all the sweeter 🙂

I’m getting ready for two weeks of this! -_- Darling Husband and I haven’t been apart since the wedding, and he’s being sent to Japan for work in a couple of weeks, and will be there for two weeks. I’m gonna have a countdown or something.

You guys are lucky. I had to endure being alone every night for the first 5 months of our marriage since my Darling Husband worked the graveyard shift (12-8 am). Fortunately, he has a new job now working daylight hours, but I am still adjusting to being alone when I get home from work. It is so tough now cuz I was used to coming home to him greeting me. I think the longer you’re with someone, the harder it becomes to seperate.

I kind of like it when I am home by myself. I can watch whatever I want, clean and have it not get dirty! haha.
But only for a certain amount of time. If it was everynight I’m sure I wouldn’t like it!

@pandaboo: I hate spending nights away from my hubby, but I’ve had to travel due to work quite a bit since we’re married. I may have been a bit of a cry baby the first night away!

I’m preparing myself for this in a few months. We havent spent a night apart in 3+ years and he’s going away for a boys weekend. I’m a little scared, but also secretly looking forward to eating chinese food/watching sex & the city all weekend 😉

Poor baby! I feel for you, I was alone without my Fiance last weekend while he was away on a golf trip with the guys. I felt so sorry for myself, lol! Mainly it was really hard to sleep without him. I slept in one of his t-shirts and hugged his pillow all night long. And we texted/talked on the phone a couple of times, which helped. Good luck – he’ll be home soon and that is the best feeling ever!

@pandaboo: we live in a SUPER safe area but every time Darling Husband is away late at night or overnight I think I hear someone “trying to break in” all night long! I hate it when he’s gone!

awe thanks for all the replies ladies. I made it thru haha 🙂 i always thought i’d like to live alone but that’s certainly not the case. i like being home alone during the day but not at night even tho we live in a super safe neighborhood and everything, i just don’t like it 🙂 he made it home at 4 in the morning & i was still awake!!! he was totally shocked because i don’t stay up that late ..
i’m sorry for all the bees who have to be away from your hubby 🙁 it’s nice to have some alone time but I know for too long it must get hard. hang in there ladies!!!

I dont know how people live alone either! I lived a small time (like a few months) by myself and yes, it was weird. But, I was working two jobs and a full time student so I was like never there.
