souza_2005:  Shortly after our wedding I got a promo code for a free shutterfly album, so just made one of those and ordered 2 extra copies for our parents.  It was nothing fancy and pretty short, but a fun project, I’m not one to sit around and stare at albums much.

I have very few prints of our wedding made, a few family shots that I’ve already taken out of their frames and put away because they weren’t the best.  In our wedding I have 3 huge prints of the two of us hung up (I couldn’t decide on one either)!  We figure through the years we’ll replace them with other pictures of us together, leaving one of our wedding up hopefully forever!

No expensive photographer album for us.

we received a photo blown up and put in a frame as a gift.  it is displayed in our family room entertainment center.

we ordered a wedding album from our photog and it will go on our coffee table with out other scrapbooks my mom has made me.  (our years of dating, engagement, shower, and a few vacations, and our honeymoon).

my coffee table has an undershelf so the books just sit there.  our living room doesn’t have a tv, so many guests like to look through our books when they visit.  otherwise, we leave them there to look at ourselves.

i thought about the canvas print, but i am making our aisle runner into a wall hanging for our family room/basement as well.

My photo package included albums so we’ll be making those.

I want to get a few blown up pictures of us/the wedding to put in our house someday. I was thinking maybe a big one of us for the bedroom and a big one of the arch where we got married or a picture of us from far away showing the scenery for a more prominent place in our house. I want to have something to remember our wedding day by in our living room but it would be weird (for us) to have a big picture of our faces over the mantel.

souza_2005:  our photography package included prints (our choice) so I ended up getting some of them professionally framed.  I was able to frame some of the smaller photos myself.  The photographer also took care of the wedding albums (we got parent albums as well).

I am not a fan of the canvas prints.  I did however enlarge several photos and hung them around our house…..

I also printed out a lot of the photos and gave them away to family and friends……

I haven’t made albums yet.  I did make two canvas prints of these two photos.  The b&W one I just adore, and it’s in our bedroom.  I also wanted one for our living room that wasn’t just ourselves all giant on the wall, so I chose this landscape one, cropped to exclude the dark edges… love it.

I printed a few 4×6’s and 5×7’s. I also printed a 20×30 artsy looking pic, two 11×14’s, and one 16×24.

Regarding photo books, my photographer charges $1,600 for a 12×12 photo book which would contain 80-100 pics.  The thought of spending that much on a book makes me want to vomit. I’ve contemplated making my own with Mpix, but I just don’t want the professional quality to not be there…? So yea, still don’t know what I’m gonna do.

On one side, I regret purchasing the albums from the photographer because mine just sits in a box.  No visitor to my house has asked to see the wedding album.  Come to think of it, only two people have asked to see wedding photos period….. (mind you I posted none on social media- twitter, facebook, instagram)

On the flip side, they made wonderful holiday gifts for our parents.

I am a huge fan of hanging photos around the house…. those collage frames really come in handy and can be found at so many stores…… target, kohl’s, etc……..

souza_2005:  I was given money specifially for a photobook. I made mine at adorama pix. GREAT quality and easy to make, and not very expensive. (here is the link) i liked that i could make it however i wanted – no tacky templates.

I chose this picture for our canvas, just becasue i liked it a lot and I liked the light in it.. I still like it, so i guess it was a good choice. I also printed a few pictures and got frames from different places and make a gleery wall in our living room. Eventually I’l switch out a few wedding pictures for our 1 yr anniversary etc. (I got the canvas from Canvad People, i was impressed with the quality)

We didn’t pay for a professional photographer and just had my mom take pictures as her gift/contribution towards the wedding. She then took the best pictures and made a nice Shutterfly photo book for us. I took a picture of one of the pages in the photo book and use it as my desktop wallpaper on my work computer. 🙂 I’ve been meaning to make a mousepad with a picture from the wedding, but haven’t gotten around to it!

I made albums on Shutterfly (one for us, and one for each set of parents). A photobook from our photographer was included in our package too. I am also in the process of getting a canvas photo of us. Depending on how it turns out I’d like to get 2 more canvas photos – one of the whole wedding party and one of our families together.

I have about 3 favourites of us, so I may get the one with us kissing blown up a bit and put on canvas for our bedroom, and the other one I may put next to the other canvas wedding photos. I’m not sure yet!
