Holy crap there’s still a lot

-get dress altered

-buy shoes

-hair/make up trial

-BOOK HONEYMOON

-BUY RINGS

-meet with DJ

-buy mason jars

-finish DIY programs

-buy votives.

-DIY escort cards

-help BM’s find shoes

-buy any sort of under things

-get grooms/groomsmen suits

-buy shower hostess thank you gifts

-Out of Town Bags

-plan rehearsal dinner

-order grooms cake

-get RSVP’s, share info with venue, and finalize seating chart

-buy Kingy’s gift

-finalize ceremony with priest

-pay everyone (down payment to florist asap.. she wants HALF wtf?)

-talk to limo guy about timelines

-find location for photos

-take engagement photos (yeah, we’re way behind)

-buy tix to Vegas for bach parties

-buy pen for guest book

-buy pretty bridal hanger

 

Okay, yeah– It looks like a lot, but they’re all really simple things!

  • check that all tuxes are ordered/guys have been measured
  • ask people to do readings
  • ask 2nd cake server
  • Get bubbles if Michael’s would ever have them when I’m there!
  • Decide on a first dance!
  • Decide on song for the ceremony
  • Choose readings, prayers, etc.
  • Send announcements to newspapers
  • Go shopping for Honeymoon!

I think that’s all for now – not stress-inducing at all!!

oh dear.

+ hair and makeup trial (scheduled)

+ dress alterations (scheduled)

+ mail transportation deposit

+ find and order favors

+ get products shipped through mail (cant do anything about that!)

+ finalize menu, guest count, seating chart, cake decoration, etc.

+ hound future father in law to pay for hotel

+ make ‘welcome to hawaii’ packets for guests

+ book minister

For me in May:

  • Confirm final appointment with hair stylist and makeup artist
  • Give DJ the lists of music and schedule for the reception
  • Finalize the wedding day timeline and e-mail to all appropriate vendors and participants
  • Submit final numbers to the florist and the reception venue managers
  • Finalize seating arrangements 
  • Determine who will be giving speeches at the reception
  • Finalize all decorations for the reception
  • Create Wedding Menus
  • Finalize all meal options with hotel
  • Write final thank-you notes to bridal party members or parents
  • Pick up my gown and veil (TOMORROW!!!)

Oh my!  My list is quite long compared to others!  Hmm guess I’m a slacker :p

AHHHHH!!!!!! So close!!

  • meet with videographer

  • assemble out of town bags
  • buy emergency kit
  • pack for honeymoon
  • last fitting/pick up dress
  • get engagement ring cleaned
  • final mani/pedi/hair blowout

I never thought I would see this list finally decrease!! Handling the last of the little details and I think I’m ready!! SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! Smile

After having the last 3 days off and swearing myself off the Bee and the internet to get stuff done…. here’s what’s left:

  • Get Fiance to a big & tall or suit specialty store to get his suit/shirt taken care of.
  •  

  • Order the guy’s socks
  •  

  • Find Fiance some shoes
  •  

  • Finish folding, cutting and fluffing the last of the tissue paper to finish 6 pomanders and 2 cones
  •  

  • Followup with the florist for pricing from our meeting last week
  •  

  • Type out names for placecards and finish assembling them
  •  

  • Finalize our dessert/candy buffet and order what’s needed
  •  

  • Write our ceremony
  •  

  • Finalize our music choices for special songs
  •  

  • Get a must have shot list put together for the photog
  •  

  • Get a hair & makeup trial done
  •  

  • 2nd dress fitting appointment then my mom is finishing up adding sleeves on her own.
  •  

  • Figure out what’s going on with a rehearsal dinner
  •  

  • Decide if I’m making my own cake or book a baker if not
  •  

  • Attend my shower & take care of thank yous
  •  

  • Finish making my Thank You cards for the wedding
  •  

  • Finish yarn poms for some garlands
  •  

  • Find undies for me to wear
  •  

  • Order paper lanterns
  •  

  • Book rooms at our venue for photographer, me and Fiance and flaky sucky bridesmaid.

  • Finalize the menu with my mom and my work/venue

  • Book nail appointments for wedding week

  • Finalize our minimoon plans and make dining/spa reservations as needed
  •  

  • Create my signage for the day for the little stuff
  •  

  • Get our programs typed out and prettied up
  •  

  • Find some flip flops for me just in case
  •  

  • Get marriage license

  • Finish cake garland
  •  

  • Find some cute cocktail napkins
  • It’s still a LOT, but SO much better than where I was!  In the last 3 days I made our table numbers, started our placecards, finished half my remaining tissue paper projects, ordered my hair flower, necklace, earrings, guestbook, straws for cocktail reception, baker’s twine to make a cake garland with, booked our minimoon reservations, bought the guys ties, figured out half our special songs and started our ceremony.  PHEW!

    Lots to do and only 4 weeks in whch to do it!

    First: I have one last final exam on Saturday

    Then I can work on this monster of a list:

    General:

    • Get marriage license (we’re going next week)
    • Determine wedding day itinerary & send it to the photographer & limo company
    • Hair trial (scheduled for May 9)
    • Another dress fitting or two (one scheduled for May 10)
    • Find a site for pictures (original choice isn’t working out so need to find someplace new)
    • Need to find earrings and possibly something for in my hair for after I take my veil off
    • make hotel reservation for wedding night
    • figure out transportation from reception to hotel
    • buy a basket for flowergirl
    • bridal party gifts
    • meet with florist again
    • meet with bakery about cake again (need a lot more than originally thought)
    • figure out what the bridal party is going to do for lunch (our ceremony is at 11am, reception at 6pm, the guests are invited to a luncheon at FIL’s, but we’re not going to be eating there since I don’t want to eat before pictures)
    • purchase drinks for in limo 
    • make nail appointment
    • buy garters
    • need a rehearsal outfit

    Ceremony:

    • programs
    • e-mail music selections to church music director
    • basket for bubbles
    • insert for programs inviting guests to luncheon at FIL’s house after ceremony
    • need to buy hangers for pew bows

    Reception:

    • buy and put together favors (Godiva Gems in bags)
    • seating chart
    • finalize menu
    • name cards
    • decorate vases for centerpieces
    • decorate candle holders for centerpieces
    • buy candles for centerpieces
    • put cake boxes together
    • mail paperwork/song selections back to DJ
    • need to buy baskets for matchbooks

    RSVPs due tomorrow- call non-responders

    Dress fittings (one tomorrow, schedule another)
