My husband calls it “pop” and I use “pop” and “soda” pretty much equally, so I voted “pop.”

I’m from Canada and I say pop. I have rarely heard anyone call it soda.

I’ve lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin and it’s about 50/50. My parents call it pop, I call it soda.

I call it Pop. I’m from Northern England. My SO is from Southern England and he just calls it by the name of the drink, lol.

I’m originally from Illinois where I believe pop is the preferred term but we use soda. Mostly, I just say the brand. If I want Coke I’ll say Coke and if I want Sprite I’ll just say Sprite

In Chicago, it’s pop. But I sometimes rebel and use “soda.”
