You can put two lounging chairs there in forn of the french doors…kind of turned in toward each other with a small round tabe in between them.

Gorgeous house by the way!

Lees, they can be sort of recliners ….kind of like a lounging/reading/convo area. Does that make sense? You can throw a chenile throw or something over one of the chairs too. I am thinking of like a brownish yellowish color or chocolate always works.

You can have one of those taller, long and skinny tables in the entryway. You can put a ceramic bowl on it with those twig balls in it. And some pretty candle holders on either side.

I love love love these chairs from Ikea:

ETA: They’re super comfy and very lightweight/easy to move if you want access to the doors or to open up your accessway to the dining (?) room. πŸ™‚

Hi!

To add to the chairs idea…

Depending on your style… I would think brown leather would be a great contrast or if you’re opposite a bold pattern… see links below… (they’re expensive, but they’re just examples)

Edit- Awesome house by the way! Congrats!! When you’re done you should put it on  “Rate my Space” on HGTV!

Give yourself time with decorating πŸ™‚ Sometimes you’ll stumble upon the perfect piece when you least expect it. The more you get into the house, the more you’ll start to develop a feel for what else will fit the look you’re going for.

Have fun Lees!

Are you guys already living here, sans furniture? Or getting it ready to move into?

Where do the doors lead? I wouldn’t place anything in front of them if you’ll be using them to go outside. If you pull them far enough away to open the doors they’ll be too far into the room. What is the other wall space like?

As far as an entry table,it can’t be too long so the door bangs it when its open,so measure before you buy anything. A nice oval mirror centered above it and some place to put your keys is always useful too.

Smyley, it looks like those doors open out, plus there’s a “landing” on the floor cleared out with no carpet. I think that it leaves enough room to go in and out of the doors without blocking the way.

For your hallway, I like the half round tables. I will post a few pictures below. My tastes run more to traditional base pieces. I like to use throw pillows, accent pieces, pictures, etc. to give my room a more modern feel. For instance, I have a chocolate leather sectional but I jazzed it up with colorful throw pillows, rug, and a red ottoman.

Anyway I digress….back to the pics Laughing

You will be fine if you go with round tables. Not everything needs to match everything else in the house IMO. Also, honestly I would hold up on the chairs until you move the couch in and see how the room flows. I really like open areas and honestly those doors are too pretty to cover up with alot of stuff. I would maybe do 1 but would see how that fits first then add another if you want.
