What shape is your center stone? I agree a contour type band is probably your best option.

Hi Bee I had a similar issue and got into a massive argument with my jeweller at the time. Ended up getting a curved wedding band.. I always wanted a straight wedding band sitting flush. It bothered me a lot so eventually I got the stone re-set with another jeweller and got a new straight wedding band. It did cost quite a bit…We went to a reputable retail jeweller and it cost about $1900 to have it re-set, then the wedding band was about $2000. But where I live it is more expensive.

Best advice is – if you do not mind a curved band, then get it made by the jeweller that made your e-ring. I got a curved band elsewhere because I did not want to go back to my original jeweller and it just didn’t fit properly.

You either go curved or rock the gap.

I had the same issue – I imagined a straight flush solitaire and band but then didn’t want to break up the antique ering setting with baguettes my DH had bought for the centre diamond to re set. So ended up with the same dilemma as you.

Have you tried rings on yet?

we tried on 100 I reckon until we found what worked.

Personally I decided to stick to straight and deal with the gap as I didn’t like the look of a curved band on its own.

Try straight bands on that have similar details to your ering in terms of stones or colour or whatever so it looks harmonious.

If you search for ‘gap’ threads on here you’ll find some gorgeous sets with very complimentary ‘gappy’ wedding bands.

dmmoss :  Ps a wedding band with the same style as your ering band would look perfection I think.

Have you thought of an open wedding band? I’ve seen these on Etsy…

This one looks like it matches the shank on your ring
