I’m no professional either, but that sounds like a LOT of work.  To me, it seems like reducing a dress that much would almost be the equivalent of designing a custom dress.  I may be completely wrong, and hopefully someone with professional experience in this area can clear this up for you.  

However, if you really love this dress or it holds sentimental value, it may very well be worth the expense.

Is the dress a size 10 and you are a street size 2? If that is the case, and you haven’t tried the dress on yet, you may be surprised. I am an everyday size of 4 and my gown began as a size 10. They run really small.

I agree w/ bree72. I’m street size 2 but I’m a size 12 in Anne Barge.
