Hey ladies! Just wanted to hear your thoughts on the length of your dresses? My dress fit almost perfectly and to save on alterations I decided not to have it shortened at all (it hits at the floor right now with out them).
Standing at home in front of the mirror and moving around the house this seems to be fine, but I was curious if anyone had trouble if they left their dress a little long when it came to their day off (I will admit I’ve had visions of tucking and rolling at the wedding because I stepped on my own hem…lol).
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

My dress was the perfect length with my 2 inch heels, but 2 inches too long without and since we were having a toes-in-sand ceremony, I was without the heels for a bit. And during dancing, I kicked off the heel in favor of sandals… I had no problems.
Your dress should just sweep the floor and it sounds like yours does that, so I’m confused why you think it might be too long.

@zuulie: as long as you’re not stepping on it and tripping over it when you walk it should be fine. If there’s any crinoline in it, you may want to shorten that up.

Thanks ladies for the feedback!
It always seems in pictures that brides have their dresses falling so that their toes are peeking out (to show off their shoes). I’m not planning on wearing heels (I love ballet flats) and they definitely do not show when I’m standing in my dress.
