(Closed) alterations…

My alterations decision came down to logistics – I bought my dress too far away to have to go back for two (or more) fittings.  If you find a seamstress locally that will do the same or better job and – most importantly – has experience with bridal and pageant dresses, then I say go for it.

From my understanding from reading quite a bit of threads on here, it seems like DB alterations are a tad high in price. I personally would shop around before you make your decision.

When I had to get alterations done for a BM’s dress at David’s, the cost of a slight hem cost me more than half of the dress alone.  I wouldn’t do it.

Just agreeing with PPs, check around to local shops that you find to be nice and reasonably price. I didn’t get a DB dress, but I still took my dress the day of purchase and brought it do another store where I had the best personal service ever.
