I haven’t had any experience with the alterations just yet (my dress hasn’t come in) but I hear that davids bridal is aweful with them, so you may want to stay away from them. Also, a lot of girls on here and the knot talked about how lovely the Bridal Salon by Yvone is, although I haven’t heard anything about the alterations there… but it may be worth checking out.

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful, but maybe some of the other girls will have some suggestions.

I bought my dress from Angela’s Bridal in Albany and I also had them do my alterations.  They did an incredible job.  I did not have any beading or lace on my dress, so no embellishments to worry about.  I had to have the hem taken up, and a few inches taken in on the bodice.  They did a wonderful job and chaged (i think) $250.  It was all pressed and ready for me the thursday before the wedding.  I highly recommend them.

My dress was custom made, so I haven’t used any myself. However, I have heard many things from friends.

The <span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-weight: bold”>Bridal gallery by Yvonne in Latham is suppose to be good:http://www.bridalgallerybyyvonne.com/

Annette’s Bridal on Wolf in Albany…. HORRIBLE… the woman there is EVIL. Seriously, ask around… the place is known for being horrid with terrible customer service. Stay away from that place!

Hope this helps.
