I just dropped my dress off on Monday (October 1) at The Art Alterations on South Congress. As I haven’t seen her work yet, I can’t vouch for it, but they have AWESOME reviews on Yelp.

I was thinking I would need the dress let out, as I have gained weight since I bought it. But since I mentioned that I was going to be working on losing weight, she suggested I come back on November 1 to see my progress, and if I still want to let it out at that point, she still has time to do it. I loved that she did not push me into making a change and charging me, but was willing to work with me!

@HorseDoc:  The Art Alterations was great! Yolanda did exactly what I wanted (hemming the dress, taking the sleeves up some, and even letting it out a bit). I had bought my dress used and it was really, really tight, so I had asked about letting it out. She suggested waiting until closer to the wedding just in case I lost weight, which unfortunately did not happen. But when I zipped up the dress at the final fitting, it fit so perfect, and I was delighted.

It did not take more than two weeks for her to finish everything for me, and the price was not bad for all the work she did as my dress was a beaded lace dress (about $250 for the hemming, sleeves shortening, and letting out the dress). I would totally recommend the Art Alterations!
