I actually just brought my dress to my seamstress to see how much she will be able to take it in. I was super worried because I needed to loose some weight for the dress to fight correctly in the waist. But I started a weight loss plan and I have lost that weight and will continue to keep losing weight. She reassured me she would be able to take it in 2-3 sizes no problem, it also helps it’s a corset dress.

So find a good seamstress take your dress to them and see what they say. 🙂

@Rupp.Anderson:  My daughter’s dress has beading on it, not lots, but across the sweetheart neckline and around the corsett back.  also the is a large amount of beading on the left hip.  Her dress needed to be taken in 2″ on each side.  In her case, the beading was done on lace motifs, which the seamstress lifted, removed a section and sewed it back on.

No problems at all and it looks just like there were no alterations.  I would find a seamstress soon, tell her that you are still loosing weight, and then book her in to have the alterations done about 2-3 weeks before the wedding.  Then try and keep your weight stable.  Good Luck!!
