stevielee :  all doable. To make it cup your butt, they’ll take the dress in around the top of your thighs some. As for the lace, if you look closely at the dress you’ll see that the lace is an appliqué. They’ll remove the appliqué, take in the fabric, and then reapplique the lace to the dress.

stevielee :  Oh yes, I second the lace question. Mine has a ton of lace and I’m short, they had to take like six inches off the bottom. Final fitting was this week and you can’t even tell that they took the bottom off. They added the lace back after. As for the butt one, what catskillbride said. I’ve had stuff altered to death before and I have no idea how some of it is done, but it’s perfect!

It’s a common alteration! It is done by taking in the side seams and maybe even below the zipper. It can only be taken in so much and still allow you to walk and sit but it is certainly able to show off your curves more. The dress looks great on you!
