@BoiledPNut: no alterations yet, but I was charged $500 flat.  High, but will cover everything I need, so they said.

I am having my bust taken in. It is $60.  But that is NOT NORMAL.  This seamstress also gets paid by the dry cleaner she is at, so her prices are lower than normal.  Typically, getting a bodice taken in, with beading, will run at least $100.

@BoiledPNut: thats where i bouhgt my dress.  they never gave me an option to not alter there.

Mine was $300.00 that included shorting the cap sleves, steaming, and adjusting my long line bra.

This is my total damages:

Hem = $220 for 6 layers.

Side seam to take the dress in and make it more mermaid like = $100

Bustle = $95

Petticoat = $75 (I checked out DB but their was not full as the one the they offered)

Bra cups (including the cups) sewn in = $70

The alteration service come with dress and veil steamed.

I got a rough quote of 

Hem: $120

Sides taken in: $60

Bra cups: $15

I have a feeling it’ll be less once she sees how simple my dress really is, but yeah – $500 is cray-cray to me.

Hemming with a bubble hem
Tiny bit taken in on the bust area
Spaghetti straps sewn on

= $200 Cash. Cleaning and steaming were included.

I went to an independant.  I had mine taken in 6 sizes, hemmed, cups sewn in, and 13 point bustle for $130.
