I personally would not add straps. Once the dress is altered to fit you, the fit should hold the dress up all on its own, but if you are worried about it, you can have velcro put on your bra and on the inside of the dress. If you rely on straps to hold up the dress, they will likely dig into your skin on your shoulders.

I would do straps coming from the  top or slightly outside the top of the cups, and the going to the back, keeping wide across your shoulders. I love straps!

@MabelleBliss:  Your dress is beautiful, but proper fit is so important. You still have ten months until your wedding.  Are you planning to have the dress professionally fitted to you closer to the time of your wedding?

I would get your dress properly fitted and altered, and I agree, no straps!  BTW, you look stunning! 😀 I love that sash choice!

I think the dress would look great even with straps so if it makes you feel more comfortable then go for it!

Off topic question where did you get your dress?

@MabelleBliss:  I thought so! I bought dress same dress! I kept the bow and the little bit of sparkle but i like the added color with the sash! I also thought about adding straps … I love the pockets!
