My first post was how I had 2nd thoughts about this dress. It was a sample gown and I am just about finished with alterations. I just need the sweetheart added. (It’s pinned in this picture.) I love how I feel when I am wearing this dress but wish I had pictures before I bought it because I don’t feel like I like it so much in the pictures. I feel like the wrapping fabric doesn’t show my figure well and should have gone with something smooth…I am seriously thinking about looking at other dresses but am I crazy? Honest opinions are more than welcome. My family just says they like it so I need some honesty even if it’s a little brutal to hear. The third picture is the dress bustled. And it was a size 14 that they made to fit me (street size 2) so if anyone is worried about major alts..I think they did good in that regards. Also, I bought a gift card off someone that was $70 for a $500 gift certificate where I bought the dress. The dress was $599. So I would just be out on alterations and the $160 from the certificate and difference on dress. ??? Thanks in advance!

it looks gorgeous on you! i do think it needs to be taken in a little more, especially on the bust/waist and maybe just under your butt.

I think it looks beautiful. But for some reason the bust area looks wonky. Like it isn’t fitted enough… Since the lace and such looks like it should be more boustier looking and it looks like its just laying across… Maybe because they haven’t done the sweetheart neckline yet?
I say if the cup part gets fixed it will be STUNNING!

i think the dress is beautiful but it still looks a bit loose on you right under your bustline and around your thighs…… are you done with all alterations besides the neckline? i think once it is completely altered it will be amazing!! i vote keep it 🙂

I think it looks great!
I would see if they could take it in a bit more under your bust.
As well, have you considered a crinoline? I think a crinoline would puff out the bottom nicely instead of having it go out and then straight down!

I agree with PP, the dress is lovely but the bust area needs to be altered, it’s not fitting perfectly.

Ya I didn’t feel it was very tight around me…and the bust does look funky…I do agree! I have a fitting on saturday to see what the sweetheart looks like so I will mention this. Thanks!!! I really wish I had discovered this website before I bought my dress! I could have asked opinions long ago and I never realized how many beautiful dresses are out there….honestly I would have probably kept looking had I seen this website earlier. Thanks.

I feel like the bust needs to be taken in a lot and it still looks a little loose around your waist. Otherwise, it is a gorgeous dress and looks good on you.

I agree with previous posters. You have a great figure, so have them take it in more in the areas that need it, so you can show it off! I think your dress looks beautiful – SMILE and it will look even more beautiful!

I agree with everyone else. Add a crinoline to the bottom to give it more oomph and have it taken in under the bust to show of your waist better and it’ll be perfect. It looks like the fact that it was so big to start with is making the boob area pouch out where it should be flush against your body. If you can’t have that altered to fit correctly, I would be having second thoughts and looking for a different dress as well.

You look good in the dress and its very pretty. I def. saw it needed taken in under the bust. and it needs a mermaid slip to add some shape to the dress.

I think you look gorgeous in it.. I’m impressed they were able to take it down from a 14 to a 2! I agree with the other bees, that the bust area needs to be fixed a bit, but the rest is simply stunning!
That being said.. if you still really want something else, go for it. But if you are happy with this one, I think it’s totally great and you should keep it 🙂

I think its a lovely dress with potential, but agree with everyone that it still needs tweaking:
1. needs to be tighter in the hip area
2. the bust needs to be adjusted to fit properly
3. it needs a crinoline underneath the skirt to fluff it out more and give the dress a better trumpet shape and accentuate your figure.
4. the waist looks like it could also be a bit tighter.
So with a few adjustments, I think you’ll have a stunner on your hands.

I thnik its beautiful but I think you could go a little deeper on the sweetheart and it would make it look really good!
