I’m kind of freaking out here. Just got back from my final fitting, tried the dress on again at home bc I was a little anxious about a couple things… and sure enough, I think my front hem is uneven and sloppy. The bottom of my dress is kind of complicated — it has two main layers, the top layer being a see-through thin organza material that is supposed to be a little bit longer than the inside more satin-like material.
When I look at pictures of my dress pre-alterations, the see-through top organza layer is always nice and straight across.
Now it looks crooked all up and down across the front — short in some places, long in others. I don’t think it’s my imagination as when I compare it to the second inside layer, it seems to be 1cm longer in some sections, and almost 2 inches longer in others. WTF???
I emailed my alterations lady to see if she’ll look at it again, but I’m not even sure if it can be fixed bc material has already been cut. And will she even believe me?? And do I even trust her? Should I take it somewhere else to be looked at?
Crap. It really sucks spending so much money on the gown and alterations only to have them mess up your dress. :-/ So upset…
