Ok so I just purchused a ball gown with a full bodice beading. I was wondering since it is a straight line cute do you think they would be able to alter it into a sweetheart neckline. I am talking the entire top is beaded not even a space of fabric shown. I love the dress but was hoping for a sweetheart neckline. I know it doesn’t need it as it is gorgeous, but I was just wondering as I always wanted a sweetheart neckline. Here is a link fo the dress I have.

It’s easy to remove beading in order to make alterations, particularly the beading on that dress since there’s no pattern to the beading.
However, looking at the structure and seaming of the dress, a deep sweetheart might cause the bodice to lose its support. A slight sweetheart or a waved neckline should be possible.

I agree with Ivorybuttons. Also, be prepared to pay more for alterations due to the fact that there is beading involved.
