MemberHi bee’s 🙂 My MS Karena Royale will be in next month (gasp!) and I have been toying with the idea of altering the top into a sweetheart neckline. I haven’t seen pics of any brides that wore the KR and did the sweetheart; everyone seems to leave it straight across. I’m so short waisted (and short), I just wonder if it would look better on my body type w/the sweetheart. Thoughts?
MemberI’m personally a big fan of sweetheart but I can’t really picture how it would look with your dress. Could you try to pin it into a sweetheart shape to get an idea of how it would look first?

MemberI am in your boat – – I have am having my neckling tailored to a sweetheart as well for the exact same reasons – – Being short it opens us up a bit….I don’t have the same dress but here are pix of my dress normal neckline and pinnes for the sweetheart neckline…Hope they help a little 
MemberI voted for a sweetheart, only because it seems like it would make you look longer. Right now the neckline looks a little high on you, but it might only be because it hasn’t been altered. Hope that helps!
Memberthanks jackie-o for the pics of your dress. I think on yours the sweetheart is the way to go-it does seem to open it up a bit.
I haven’t talked to the seamstress yet about altering it and if it can even be done. I will discuss that/take pics with the sweetheart pinned when the dress comes in next month. I agree, justeen, it does look high on me and my hope is that the sweetheart will elongate me. I need all the help I can get!

MemberI think the neckline might be a bit too high for you, the sweetheart would look great. This makes you look a bit shorter.
At least you can wear sexy 6 inch heels. I’m tall for a chick (5’7) lol.

MemberI do think the sweetheart would look better on you. My dress was straight across and I am having it altered to a true sweetheart (with a point) and it is MUCH more flattering. I’m 5’6 but I have a very short torso so the sweetheart neckline makes me look longer – I love it!
