Hello! A couple of days ago I posted on here asking everyone what their brutally honest opinion was about my dress. I have already put half the cost of the wedding dress down as a deposit and if I chose to cancel it I will lose the deposit. I didnt get the most positive feedback (not the most negative either) but most people were very Neutral about it saying that it was missing the “Wow Factor” ,which I agree. So after much debate and brainstorming and a little wedding dress stress… I have decided to keep it. Mainly because I feel like I would be double stressed about how much Money I wasted on half a dress that Ill never physically have ownership of. So… Ive decided to keep it but Im thinking of making some changes to it (which I know will be costly but I know…. not as much as the cost of a whole new dress)
Alterations that Im thinking…
1) I wont need hemming since the dress is slightly long but will be perfect length once I have my heels.
2) the bust will need to be taken in… as well as a little on my waiste.
3) I was thinking changing the back where the sheer lace is and making it a very slight ‘V’ shape instead of the ‘U’ shape it currently is.
4) I was thinking of adding sleeves. Im not sure if I want something removable or permenant. thoughts?
The first Picture collage is of my dress in its current state. The following pictures are of sleeve ideas I like.
Honest Thoughts appreciated.
PS. We are getting married in January with lots of snow (likely) and the colors of our wedding is deep emerald green and Gold.
