So I bought my dress when I was in the US visiting my family. I brought my dress and shoes back to Canada with me, but left my crinoline at my mom’s house cause I didn’t have room for it. Do you think this might be a problem when I go to get my dress altered? I think I’ll mainly need a bustle and maybe the hip area taken in.

Yes you will need the crinoline. When you have the crinoline in the dress the length changes which means it will be impossible to hem or bustle with out it. I’d have her ship it to you

@Tarheelgurl: I agree with MrsDToBe2014. I used to work in a bridal salon and our in house seamstress would not do alterations if a bride did not have all of the proper undergarments. Like she said this can greatly change the hem and lay of the dress.
