My dress as well was more of an A-line bottom, softer Fit-and-Flare.
I had it altered to a more fitted mermaid shape.
I’m having my Augusta Jones Jessie gown changed into a mermaid shape. Alterations aren’t done yet and I’m so anxious to see how it turns out.
This is the dress as it comes:
And this is how I’m having them alter it (it’s pinned up in this photo so ignore the weird bunching)
I will update once alterations are done if anyone wants to see the result…
Hi inloveweddingfever!
I just purchased the same exact dress this weekend for the same discounted price!! We’re pretty lucky girls, I’d say ๐
And…I’m thinking of doing the exact same thing as you–convert to more of a mermaid fit, but also want to convert to a sweetheart neckline. I’d LOVE to know how you plan on accessorizing this dress! I’m having a bit of a panic now as I’m worried it’s a little too plain, but I think I’ll be fine ๐

You look great in the dress, btw!
Just found this post – I have this dress too (and got it for the same great price)! Just posted a couple of pics here. I had it altered to make it more mermaid-style and am also wearing a mermaid petticoat.
