My FH doesn’t want to do the garter toss, but I still wanted to have something. After much debate and brainstorming, he came up with the idea of having a flower crown on my head that he would take off and then throw to the single men.
I’m wondering when I should put this flower crown on, because I really don’t want to wear it during the whole ceremony, because i have a small beaded hair pin that goes with my veil, which I will continue to wear at the reception, because it is not long. I feel the flowers on my head will be distracting and not go well with my dress.
I really like this idea, and I want to make it work. I’m just not sure how to envision it playing out.
So, what do people think of this idea, and how should we proceed with it??

I think you would just put it on right before the toss.

Not that you asked, but it seems a little too close to a bouquet toss to me– I can’t imagine men lining up to catch flowers.

As a guest, I would be confused. I would just skip it.

Yeah, I agree. I would skip it.
Why not something oriented to his tastes?? I’ve seen people throw footballs, and other sports balls. Maybe cash? Hmm…. Does he have a favorite video game or movie?

@DarthBetty: That’s a good idea. However, the more we talked about it, we decided to just not do it.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions and advice!

For something different, we’ll have a lottery card bouquet.
