- Wedding: October 2009
I decided I didn’t want the traditional guest book and I didn’t want a coffee table book with pretty pictures that people sign. I felt like there would be no connection between the book and the wedding.
Getting married on 10/17/09 in Boulder, Colorado, our theme had become aspen leaves. I have more projects that need to be posted, but this is my first one.
I decided i wanted gold paper cut out in the shape of aspen leaves, that people could sign and I could put in a scrap book later. But how was I going to cut these aspen leaves. My mom and I searched far and wide for an aspen die cut to no avail. WE thought about tracing them and cutting them out. But then I discovered the Cricut and Sure Cuts A Lot Software. Yay!
I spent one Saturday cutting out aspen leaves of various sizes.[attachment=386281,50347] [attachment=386281,50348] [attachment=386281,50349] [attachment=386281,50350] [attachment=386281,50351] [attachment=386281,50352]
There are 5 coffee tables in the lounge where the cocktail hour is. My plan is to have the leaves on the tables with sharpie pens, so the guests can sign while they are enjoying a cocktail and relaxing! I am very excited about how this turned out!
Hopefully I can put up some other aspen themed things up as well!
