That sounds like a great idea! I have also seen ice cream sunday stations, brownies, or a family dessert recipe!

We are doing one of these two options as traditional grooms cake alternatives:

Beignets (he loves New Orleans) served on a silver platter engraved with his Alma Mater

OR

Ice Cream Cake (its his fave) Neopolitan inside, ivory out, with his Alma Mater sprayed in gold on the top or side, something subtle.

We did white cake/chocolate cake for our wedding.  The white was what I served and he served the chocolate.   Anything goes!

sounds like a great idea, since its something he will love. i am getting my fiance a grooms ICE CREAM cake. he doesnt like regular cake, so i am going to have an ice cream cake with the superman logo on it because he is obsessed

That sounds like an awesome idea.  I know I’ve seen 4 packs of shot glasses at dollar stores for a buck, which wouldn’t be super expensive.
