We are having long rectangle tables at our reception (don’t really have a choice) so I am renting white table cloths. Our colors are aubergine, moss green, and whites/creams. I really like the rustic look so most of our decorations will center around the whites/creams and moss greens. The aubergine is only the bridesmaids dresses and a few other accents. I found a great aubergine fabric that I am purchasing for table runners to be made (this way the tables butted together will look like one LONG table, which I think is pretty) I am also borrowing white chair covers from a friend that used the same venue. I am wondering if I absolutely need chair sashes, or if that will be too much of the purple? I would like to go with no chair sashes, but these chair covers are pretty basic, almost like a pillowcase over a folding chair. Which is better than the alternative, ugly grey folding chairs (you have to cut me some slack, getting married in a small town with nothing but a catholic hall to have a reception in 🙂 I almost feel like I need something on the chair covers so they don’t look like pillowcases. Only problem is, that would be too much purple for me I think, with the table runners too. Has anyone ever seen any alternatives to chair sashes that would add something but not be overdone?
