The Moms/MOHs walked to Vitamin String Quartet’s version of the Beatles “All You Need Is Love,” Dad and I walked to VSQ version of “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, and our recessional was VSQ’s “Your Love Is King”- Sade. We also had 1/2 hour of VSQ songs before the ceremony (a little Guns N Roses, Cure, and Taylor Swift)

I think I’m going to ask my little brother to play an acoustic version of I’ll Follow You into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie. The lyrics are dark, but the song is beautiful. It’s between that and Comptine d’un autre ete l’apres midi. It’s so pretty.

@SouthernGirl:  I think “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” is a LOVELY wedding song.

@Neetch:  I thought so too, and what’s better is FH agrees. Of course, FH also wants us to walk out to the theme of Doctor Who, lol.

ETA: I was also surprised to see a number of other Bees using it for their song as well. Until I joined the Bee I thought I was weird.

I had always wanted to walk down the aisle to Canon in D, but when it came time to start putting my music together I decided it was a little overused for my liking and a bit traditional compared to the rest of our ceremony.  My bridesmaids and I are all now walking down to Pachebel Meets U2 by Jon Schmidt.  There is a really obvious pause about three minutes in that would work so I still have a dramatic entrance, and we can cut it off at about 4:45 I think.  I have a 70 foot aisle, and I’m going to do the “giving away” and all of my adjustments while the music is still playing so there won’t be anything awkward due to the length.

Torn between vitamin string quartet’s version of Arcade Fire’s Crown of Love or The Black Key’s cover of Buddy Holly’s Darling.

My girls are walking out to a piano/cello version of Over the Rainbow (cover) by the Piano Guys. And I’m walking out to a classical version of Halo (Beyonce) covered by Aston. Everytime I hear Halo I think of my Fiance 😀

My FH & I are a little on the odd side, so we are going with non-traditional music. Ill walk to either Iz’s Somewhere Over the Rainbow  or the theme from Braveheart. Also our first dance will be to Adam Sandler’s Grow Old With You

I’m a video game lady myself.

I chose “Aerith’s Theme” by Nobuo Uematsu. It’s absolutely beautiful. For the unfamiliar, it’s a character’s theme from the game “Final Fantasy 7.”
