Hey guys, my mom really wants a Pandora-esque bracelet for Mother’s Day, but honestly I can’t afford to buy her a starter bracelet and all the pricey beads that go with it. Is there a chaper alternative made without the gold and precious stones? I’d still want to go with sterling silver. I had a look around online and saw a few options, but I would rather go with a company others haved personally experienced.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

This weekend, Kay Jewelers is giving a free bracelet if you purchase $100 worth of beads for the Pandora.
Khol’s was having a sale where they had their charm bracelets for like $70, they have a mom one that is really cute.

You could always do an old fashioned charm bracelett with actual hanging charms. I found my bracelet and a lot of charms off of Amazon.

My experience is that if someone has their heart set on something, and you get them a “similar” item, they never quite have the same attachment.
If you are going to buy a sterling silver bracelet, get her the bracelet and leave the beads for another time. Or, if you have siblings, tell them that you are buying the bracelet and maybe they can buy a bead.

@Pinksapphire: I checked out Kay’s website and I didn’t see any Pandora bracelets or beads there. Are they only sold in the stores themselves? My mom lives across the country so buying online would probably be the easiest for me.
Also, my mom never said Pandora. I don’t think she knows what the name brand is for these bracelets, she just wants a fun charm bracelet where we can buy her charms for every birthday or celebration. I just figured Pandora-like bracelets would be the way to go.

At my local JoAnn Fabrics, they sell similarly styled bracelets. You get the base chain/rope for $10, and it’s $5 for each set of 4? beads.
Also, Amazon has had them up the past few days in their gold box sales

You could also check out some other companies that do the same idea. Most will still fit on a standard Pandora bracelet, but make sure you check on hole sizes. I have a Pandora and Trollbead with all sorts of beads on each one.
Check out Ohm Beads, Chamilia, Trollbead Bracelets, Nagara, Silvado, Biagi, and some Etsy sellers ( a favorite of mine is Glass in the Attic ).
🙂 Good luck.

If she wants charms, James Avery has some awesome different bracelets and charms, but they are more traditional charm bracelet style, a chain with dangle charms attached.

Pandora bracelets don’t have to be super expensive. I have one and I remember going into a Pandora store last year because my mom offered to buy me a new charm. The plain silver charms are only $35, the plainer beads being similarly prices, and the silver bracelets weren’t expensive, and there’s an even cheaper alternative if you get the leather kind. They can be really, really expensive but they don’t have to be. I do like Sassygrn‘s idea, with an actual charm bracelet. Unless the extra danglies would get in the way…

I have a pandora look alike. It even has pandora wrote on it. Its gorgeous in person, very solid & looks like the real deal. I got mine off this website & my mom got hers there also. It even comes in a box with Pandora wrote on it. So I guess its a look alike but not sure. Either way you can show your mom these & see if she likes any of them. 🙂
Here is a picture of mine. Its full silver, it has not tarnished or turned me green (because its silver not fake.)
The picture does not do it justice. I wish I had a picture of the actual bracelet part, full sterling silver, very solid as are the beads!

I’ve seen something similar at Kohls! Personally I never really liked the actual bracelet pandora makes – it reminds me of a snake…
