The moment I tried Maggie Sotterro Bronwn on I knew it was THE dress! I loved the lace, the keyhole, everything!!
However, the dress just came in and when I put it on I was devastated … it hugs my middle soooo much more then I expected. Since its only a slip underneath its not very forgiving, and spanx are out of the question because of the keyhole, so the mid tummy ones would leave a line.
I have no idea what to do! I want to wear the dress, but am wondering what I can do to slim out my middle! Is there anything that can be sewed in the gown, or would a petticoat help??

Hi! Is the back on the Bronwyn that low? I tried it on and don’t remember it coming super low, although the sample was too big so it was oddly clamped to fit.
What about something like this? I can’t imagine it would be too high for the keyhole. This one might not be THE one to buy because you may be able to see the lines through the slip, but I know they make seam-free ones in this shape. I think that would be your best bet!
Or even something like this. That way you can adjust how high it goes: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/dkny-fusion-half-slip-shaper/3450376?origin=related-3450376-0-1-2-2-RR&PageCategoryId=PP&fashionColor=SKINNY+DIP

My dress has a keyhole too, and I opted to get maidenform shapewear briefs. The provide some tummy support, and a ton of waist/ butt support and don’t leave any lines. It brings my waist measuring down a whole inch and they are actually really comfortable to wear. A petticoat would make your mid section look small, but also make the dress bigger, so it just depends on your vision for it.

I actually just wore this dress! I went with these and you couldn’t see them AT ALL. They worked perfect, and they were seriously comfortable too!
