My fiance and I aren’t big fans of Mariachi bands, but coming from Mexican backgrounds we feel we need to incorporate some Mexican sounds into the wedding. Are there any alternatives to a mariachi?
The only thing we can think of is a spanish/latin guitarist.

Thanks. I didn’t know a trio and a mariachi were different.

A Flamenco guitarist is Spanish, but nonetheless a good option for a Mexican wedding. Bonus for an accompanying Flamenco dancer!
Also, incorporating Latino music into the DJ set works. I don’t like mariachis either, fyi.

A trio would be a good choice. I like mariachi but not at our wedding so I’m hoping to find a trio for the hourderve hour. A trio plays a very different type of music than a mariachi. Many play a very old school romantic type of music. We are also going for a rondalla at our mass.
