My florist will most likely not be able to get peonies so I am looking for other options.
This is the bouquet I want:
As you can see, there are cabbage/garden roses in that bouquet which I love. My florist probably can’t get them either (tropical island). Do you know of any alternatives? Flowers which would mimic the fullness of garden/cabbage roses?

@redband: Ranunculus? I think they’re smaller than garden roses, but have a pretty, full look!

I agree with @KatieBklyn‘s suggestion! Are ranuculus available to your florist?
They would be close to perfect and look almost like a peony (almost!). This is what they look like:

@LindsayMaree: That’s a GORGEOUS pic!! Wish they were in season in August!

I love ranuculus but sadly they aren’t available either.
Here’s a list of available flowers:
i) tropical flowers
v) spider lilies
vi) calla lilies
vii) baby’s breath
xi) water lilies
xii) lotus (hey! this might be a good substitute??)

Sorry I’m not sure of when they season, but here are some similar flowers:
David Austin roses
Out of the list you gave, I think carnations are a fantastic alternative!!

I love peonies, but they are so expensive so my florist is mixing garden roses in with them. Maybe you can check those out!

Garden/cabbage/david austin roses are basically the same. If I were you, I would sub in either regular roses or carnations, from your list of available flowers.

Lisianthus resembles cabbage roses. Ask your florist if they come in the colors you want. Also, florists have a wealth of knowledge and can tell you what is available based on the look you want, and they don’t expect you to know what every single flower type is.

While hydrangeas don’t look much like peonies, they are large and full. From what I understand they can be much cheaper than peonies as well. They would probably work in the bouquet you posted. Carnations would work well too and those are definitely less expensive.
