Ribbon wands! So pretty, you can make them or order them in your wedding colors, and they can also be your favors.

I just had the amusing image of glow sticks on ribbons and kids running around with them like flails.

Maybe bells?  Although, depending on how many guests you will have ringing them at the same time, it could be ear-drum shattering.  Those little kissing bells would be nice though.

I also think the butterfly release is neat.

We used streamer throws. The great thing is they stay attached to each persons hand so the streamers don’t go all over the place. No mess, but a big impact!!  You just gather up the pods afterwards and throw them in the trash.

We considered ribbon wands but they were kind of expensive, too time consuming to make on my own, and the few pics I’ve seen of them from weddings I wasn’t that impressed with the visual. I think the streamer throws made for some great pics. Plus it was just a whole lot of fun.

You can see some of our pics here http://tinyurl.com/6y4mef (in the first pic you can see how they stay attached to each persons hand for easy clean-up)

is your wedding at night or during the day? that’ll play a big part of it to. you don’t really want to have a butterfly release at 11 o’clock, ya know?
