Hi all- At first I was against having a sweetheart table. Maybe I just didnt like the name of it- sounds cheesy to me. Anyway, I realize that I have 19 people in my wedding party (including me and my groom and a flower girl and a ring bearer) It is going to be really hard to decide who sits with the bride and groom. Im thinking the “sweetheart table” makes the most sense. Here is my question: Are you seating your bridal party together- at two tables, for example- or spreading them out amongst your crowd?

@inshapebride: As of now, our group is sitting wherever they want. We really don’t care since they’re all adults.
Also, we have kids of our own (one who’ll be 20 in Oct, one who’ll be 9 in Oct, and a 5 year old). So, they’re gonna be sitting with us (unless the wee ones clammer for their grandparents…). The oldest can sit wherever he wants.

I had about 40 people in my wedding. We sat at a sweetheart table, but it was at the head of the head tables which were parallel to each other. There was also another head table that was horizontal to the other two. So it was like a box, but our table was round. It is hard to explain.

We’re having a sweetheart table and our wedding party will be mixed with other guests. But our wedding party is pretty small so it’s a little easier…

We are doing a ‘head table’ with us, and our best men (2), and maids of honour (2). The rest of the bridal party will be seated in the crowd, but likely together since they’re mostly friends.
